"In the last 18 years, highly personal information has been published about presidential candidates, including divorce and alimony details, drunk driving arrest records, college grades, urinalysis results, prostate cancer surgery – even details about George W. Bush's hemorrhoid troubles. "The media have dredged up medical, military, college and detailed records for Republican Party and Democratic Party candidates in at least the last five elections. Candidates were subject to intense scrutiny of their health conditions, academic performance and military careers. " -wnd
Now... WHAT could BHO be hiding? Why is it that we have relatively nothing on the past of BHO? Even his medical records weren't opened - he refused to release them and instead simply provided a six paragraph SUMMARY of 21 years of doctor visits and health information. Why is BHO so secretive?
When asked for his BIRTH CERTIFICATE, he instead provides his CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH. Why so secretive? What's to hide?
It's as if we do not have the right to know the history of our President. For that matter, what the "preemptive strike" of releasing an autobiography? Was it to answer questions people may have about the man, to hopefully stop them from questioning further? All that book did was raise more questions.
.
We would like to have COMPLETE information, VERIFIABLE information, UNDISPUTED information. What's wrong with that?

It seems to me its all about selective accountability. No equality, no level playing field, just plain and simple, double standards.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to go even further with BHO. Not only is there no equality or level playing field - he is actually held to a higher level than all the rest. As if, none should reach me ... all are below me ...
ReplyDeleteBut, an interesting side note I found while looking around -
ReplyDelete"A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has had his military orders revoked after arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office.
His attorney, Orly Taitz, confirmed to WND the military has rescinded his impending deployment orders.
"We won! We won before we even arrived," she said with excitement. "It means that the military has nothing to show for Obama. It means that the military has directly responded by saying Obama is illegitimate – and they cannot fight it. Therefore, they are revoking the order!"
She continued, "They just said, 'Order revoked.' No explanation. No reasons – just revoked."
Kinda weird isn't it?
Re: "When asked for his BIRTH CERTIFICATE, he instead provides his CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH. Why so secretive? What's to hide?"
ReplyDeleteActually, it was the Certification of Live Birth, which is the official birth certificate of Hawaii. (http://www.starbulletin.com/columnists/kokualine/20090606_kokua_line.html). And it is the only birth certificate that Hawaii currently sends out. It no longer sends out copies of the original.
And it was confirmed twice by the authorities in Hawaii, and confirmed by the notices in the newspapers, and by this witness, who recalls being told of his birth in Hawaii in 1961 and writing about it to her father (http://www.buffalonews.com/494/story/554495.html)
Sure, a lot of stuff has been dredged up on presidential candidates over the years, but that does not mean that there is a law saying that candidates have to release that information. Obama released a summary of his health situation because he is an athlete, probably in the best shape of any US president. He did not release his grade point average because it would be gloating. He graduated from Harvard Law Magna Cum Laude.

It turns out that that major had actually volunteered to serve in Afghanistan about a month before he was called to serve in Afghanistan. So, he went back on what he volunteered to to.
The Army decided that it did not want to send guys to Afghanistan who volunteer and then go back on it.

ReplyDeleteSo, what you are saying is that when he got official orders to report to duty, and he laid out his claims as to way he wouldn't follow those orders, the Army, instead of issuing a court marshal decided to say, "ah, what the heck. I mean he volunteered to go, and even though we've now sent orders to go, why make him if he doesn't want to"???
Wow.
I'm not sure where to even start on your comment posted "October 12, 2009 10:48 AM".
ReplyDeleteA lot of stuff has been dredged up over the years, but no candidate or President has ever gone through such lengths or spent so much money to fight having to show just about anything concerning them. It's a simple birth certificate. What's on it that he feels he must fight so hard to keep it hidden?
As for his grades, oh... his modesty prevents him from disclosing his records? C'mon. That's a glaring cop out and we both know it.
His medical records, he keeps hidden because he is in such great shape? Again, this stuff only makes sense in movies (and a bad one at that).
